Gen2 Access Reader Installation Guide

To ensure that LittleBird, a LevelUp service, delivers an exceptional experience for all customers and users, all hardware associated with LittleBird features must be installed with precision and care. This guide outlines the installation steps required to properly install the access card readers that are most compatible with LittleBird’s smart access features.


The installation instructions in this guide apply to the following product models:

  • LB-AP-AR2-M
  • LB-AP-AR2-S
  • LBA-ACR-M1-B 
  • LBA-ACR-SG-B

Mounting

  1. Remove the backplate from the reader by removing the security screw at the bottom.

  2. Drill two holes in the wall for the screws at the bottom (C) and top (A) of the backplate and one in the middle (B) for the wiring. Holes ‘A’ and ‘C’ can be used to attach the backplate to a standard backbox.

  3. Knock the wall-fixing plugs off the top (A) and bottom (C) holes in the backplate.

  4. Screw the back cover to the wall.

  5. Attach the unit to the back cover and secure it with the security screw on the bottom.

Connecting to a DMP 734 Module

Connect card reader Red, Black, Green, and White to access module Wiegand input screw terminals. The use of 22/6 multi-conductor wire for the card reader is recommended in the wiring process. 

Do not cross the Wiegand (green and white) wires with the Power + (red) or you can damage the reader.

Note: Card reader White will be used in place of the access module Yellow terminal.
