Wireless Receiver Installation

Modified on Thu, 1 Aug at 6:22 AM

  1. Gather the tools you'll need to install the in-line wireless receiver:

    1. ½” drill bit

    2. Needle nose pliers

    3. DMP 1100DI-W receiver, which contains the following parts:

      1. DMP right angle adapter (PC-0410, *Included with Smart Home Controller  panel)

      2. DMP double sided cable (or two single ended DMP wires spliced together)

    4. Smart Home Controller  LBH-SH100 or LBH-SH100-CELL

  1. Modify the controller by adding the 1100DI-W in-line wireless receiver.

    1. Drill a ½” hole in the right hand side of the controller lid, about midway between the edge of the lid and the LittleBird logo.

  1. On the 1100DI-W, open the underside opening with a pair of needle nose pliers. Grip the thinner side plastic, and pull the plastic away. You should easily be able to make the opening look as shown below.

  1. Apply the supplied 3M tape to the back of the receiver.

  1. Attach the receiver to the front of the lid. As much as you can, try to align the two openings to allow for the DMP cable to be pulled through after, while also keeping the receiver and ICOM cover leveled with each other.

  1. Once mounted, pull a DMP 333  double-sided connector through the hole you previously made, and connect the receiver to the controller. The use of a PC-0410 right angle adapter will be necessary to be able to reattach the controller lid.

  1. Attach the other end of the DMP wire to the controller using the right angle adapter. This will attach to the PROG port on the Smart Home Controller panel.
